Fall Coats under $150

Hi Hunnies

It’s been a minute! But I’m back! Let’s talk coats. Do NOT underestimate the power of a good coat to finish an outfit. If you throw your North Face parka over a stellar look, it will kill the whole vibe. I found 5 coat styles that are sure to amp up your style this season (and keep your warm but, like, whatever).

I rented this STUNNING coat from Nuuly last month and fell in love. Too bad the retail price tag is almost $700………. At the bottom of the post I share some other gorgeous outerwear pieces available to rent with Nuuly right now.

Happy shopping!

xx Kat

I invested in a teddy coat last year and did not regret it. Casual enough to throw on over leggings to run errands yet cute enough to dress up.

The trendiest on the list. Do I think these will still be in style next year? No. Are they fun as hell? Yes.

puff puff

Pass! Jk- I love a puffer. If you don’t want to blend in with a sea of North Faces, opt for a belted version or a oversized collar.

A little bit fancy

If you’re going to invest in one coat this season, I would make it a tailored coat. It’s a classic that will not go out of style. I love the option below with cargo pockets- it’s a fresh twist on a staple piece.

Check please!

Similar to the tailored coats above- but just a bit more funky.

Rent with Nuuly

Here are some GORGEOUS coats that I would never be able to afford at retail- but are available to rent with Nuuly! The coat from the photos at the top of this post is linked in the second row :)

Hi Hunnies!

Over the weekend I attended the #100DetroitFemaleBloggers event hosted by Femology Detroit. It felt SO GOOD to be surrounded by women who value collaboration over competition in our fine city of Detroit. It reminds me that there is room for everyone in this industry and it can only help if we SUPPORT each other. The theme of the event was power suits and I chose this Unique 21 set from ASOS. I’m a neutral girl so I fell in love with this suit immediately. These wide leg trousers are high waisted and are super comfy. I’m wearing a size 2 for reference. I styled a mock neck t-shirt underneath the boyfriend fit blazer, but I love the idea of wearing nothing under the blazer á la Lady Gaga in Marc Jacobs. I finished off the look with my treasured Lack of Color hat, some Wild Fable hair pins, and a vintage beaded bag from The Get Up Vintage in Ann Arbor, MI.

I’ve pulled together some other power suit options (at the bottom of the post) for when you want to feel like a boss ass b*tch. All sets are under $150 and individual items are under $100. Happy shopping!

xx Kat

Hey Hunnies!

Alright I'm a little late to the game but I just received my 'Marlo' Tan Over The Knee Suede Leather boots from Goodnight Macaroon. I've seen these all over Instagram and heard amazing things about the quality, the fit, and the company. I'm SO glad I purchased them. A little out of my price range, so they were a special purchase for me but so far they have been worth it. My calves are tiny so I'm usually swimming in boots but these fit snug and have a little stretch to them. There is a zipper from the heel through the calf that makes them super easy to slide on and off (Which was my biggest complaint about the Kaitlyn Pan boots I reviewed a few months ago. Read about those HERE).

This is the first item I've purchased from Goodnight Macaroon and had a pretty good experience! They often have discount codes for the entire site, so I actually got these for 25% off. Their other clothing items start at about $50.00 and go up from there. I was surprised though when my boots took 3 1/2 weeks to get here, which is my only complaint!

I styled them here with a gorgeous long sleeve A-line dress and black leather jacket but you can pair them with skinny jeans, a mini skirt, a midi skirt, the options are endless! I wore them the same weekend with my all time favorite midi dress (outfit post coming soon!!). Thanks for stopping by friends!!
